Vi Vu

Vi Vu turns the distance you walk or run each day into a journey through Vietnam.

Out of homesickness, and a wish to see more products with a Vietnamese identity, I started thinking about turning plain walking numbers into a small slice of Vietnamese culture.

So every leg I design is tied to a place, a photo, and a short story, like a small invitation to learn more about Vietnam.

After more than a month of development, the first route has taken shape: 1,217 kilometres along the coast from Binh Thuan to Quang Tri, passing 92 real places.

You walk as usual. When the distance is long enough, Vi Vu moves you to the next stop on the map.

It might be a beach, a mountain pass, a temple, a railway station, a fishing village, or a landmark in Central Vietnam.

Badges, photos, and illustrations help each stop feel more vivid, so the place you just reached is more than a name on the map.
